Makes you smell smoother then you'll ever be

Ok that may be a bit of a stretch, but this stuff is seriously enthralling. The leather and spice dominate the opening and pretty much hang around in the forefront throughout most of the duration, which is stupidly long. The sweeter notes are there but rest barely perceptible in the background until your close up, I've literally never had a scent with this combination of longevity and consistent yet interesting development.

A very specific fragrance

This fragrance is very boozy, and that makes it less easy to wear. However it still smells very high quality, and I will absolutely find occasions to wear this too. After buying this and 1898 in the 15ml size blindly, I decided to purchase the complete collection of samples because I know this house is gonna have some favorites for me just waiting to be found.

A masterpiece the Marquis, himself, would have been proud of. Love it!

Good Manly scent

Starts out leather forward and fades out into a pleasant, musky, vanilla scent. Smells good all day.

Very Impressed

Not your typical perfume...but let me tell you, thank goodness it’s not. I’ve worked in luxury retail for 10 years, and ive had it all, Clive Christian, Creed, Bond No.9, Tom Ford. All these houses that make good perfumes, sure. But this beat them all, interesting scent that I said smelled like the aftermath of a glorious bacchanal in an opium den, it’s incredibly sexy and sensuous, it must be the warmth of the labdanum. Oh and let me tell you this perfume literally lasted on me ALL DAY, and this is coming from a person that now work as a bartender lifting and carrying heavy things all day so I sweat off perfumes like crazy. After my purchase of 1740, I’m going to explore ALL of the other perfumes because they’re worth...every...penny. Don’t hesitate, and get your bottle now, because I can almost guarantee you’re going to love this brand and forget about designer name brand perfumes forever. I know I have.
